Ta form plus tottan. This means the moment, as soon as, right after. This is used when something happens immediately after another action, often unexpectedly or suddenly. Tottan literally means the exact moment or the instant something happens. This grammar expresses that event B happens immediately after event A, often with a sudden, unexpected, or surprising result. This expression is commonly used in both spoken and written Japanese. There are three core usages. Let's start with the first one. The first one is immediate change or sudden event. Ta tottan is used when something changes immediately after a certain action happens. The time gap between the two actions is extremely
