Ep 1351 | Jase Helps Zach’s Son Find the Courage to Speak Boldly about Jesus
6/9/202656 min
Zach returns from Italy with a sobering reminder from Rome’s ruins that every earthly kingdom eventually falls, but the kingdom of God keeps moving forward. Jase, Al, and Zach dig into how trials expose what comfort hides, and what it means to have a double-minded soul. Jase helps Zach’s son, Bear, through a panicky faith moment, and it ends up being an awesome reminder of the courage young Christians need in today’s world. [upbeat country music] I am unashamed. What about you?
Al Robertson· Host0:04
Welcome back to Unashamed, or is the, uh... What was the old bit that was on Hee Haw? Gloom, despair, and agony on me.
Jase Robertson· Host0:14
[laughs] Where, oh, where- Is that it? ... where are you tonight?
Al Robertson· Host0:18
That's it.
Jase Robertson· Host0:18
[laughs] Why did you leave me here all alone?
Al Robertson· Host0:20
That's it. I searched the world- I don't remember that.
Jase Robertson· Host0:22
I take, I take it back now [laughs] You have to have more passion with that, Adam.
Al Robertson· Host0:25
I searched- I searched the world over ... searched the world over and thought I found you ...
Jase Robertson· Host0:29
and thought I found you.
Al Robertson· Host0:29
It was, it was just the poor blues. That's what I felt like today.
Jase Robertson· Host0:32
Oh.
Al Robertson· Host0:32
Jason and I have come in, [laughs] and we have done nothing but complain since we got here this morning. Maddie's tried to be a bright light. We got a friend here, John, from San- Mm ... Angelo, Texas, watching today.
Jase Robertson· Host0:43
John.
Al Robertson· Host0:43
Zach, you're back, though, and for that Jason and I are eternally grateful. We did four podcasts without you, and it was- Yeah ... we felt like it was a struggle bus.
Jase Robertson· Host0:51
That was qui- That was- Go ahead.
Zach Dasher· Host0:53
Oh, hold on.
Jase Robertson· Host0:54
I'm not gonna interrupt you one time today- Give me just one ... 'cause we, we need you, Zach.
Zach Dasher· Host0:58
[laughs] Well- We miss you, Zach ... I, I get on, and you're like just talking about how rough it was without me. [laughs] And I, I mean, it was a lot of complaining, but I heard it as, "Zach, I love you." [laughs] And that's why I responded with, "Jason, I love you, too."
Al Robertson· Host1:10
Yeah.
Jase Robertson· Host1:10
Well, we're habitual creatures, and, uh- Yeah ... what I learned is that when you're a leg down, yeah, you have a three-legged stool. [laughs] You have a two-legged.
Al Robertson· Host1:22
That's right.
Jase Robertson· Host1:22
But the two, you're asking more from the two- Yeah ... when you don't have three legs.
Al Robertson· Host1:29
And
