[dial tone] Poetry Cafe. Shower me with your sweet love and I'll bloom fantastically. Plant me in your rich soil and I'll take root, holding you down, giving back all that I have, all of me. Because I was born a queen, everything already prepared in the garden for my arrival, I knew I belonged in this place. Now that I'm here, the master's piece is complete. So now you calling me out my name. Give me anger, I'll give you hate, bitterness, death. I can bring your destruction through the elements of my earthquaking. See, in the eye of my tornado, there is peace. All the while winds are raging, rain is pouring, and I am spinning, spinning, spinning. When the finale of this storm makes its appearance, the tracks traveled shows evidence of piles of unrest stirred. Finally, the storm is over. The winds are calm, the rain dries, and the sun, he rises. I open my eyes to the beauty of this new covenant. A rainbow path emerges, leading me to my golden new beginning. I am Black woman.
