E175: Letting Go of Yourself—The Real Spiritual Path

4/23/202651 min

Spiritual growth is not about reaching for higher states; it’s about releasing the ego that keeps pulling you down. The mind and heart are conditioned by past experiences, and reacting to them creates endless suffering. By observing and letting go instead of resisting or controlling, you naturally rise into peace and alignment with something greater.

Hmm. Jagrat, if Jai masters. Until you're totally liberated, you live in a world of duality. You don't need to fill self with teachings. There's day, there's night, there's high, there's low, there's male, there's female, there's happy, there's sad. But they weren't different things. They're just directions that you're looking at. You can look up, you can look down. They're different, what you see, but it's not as different as you think it is. So, for example, people wanna come in tune with God. Some people are very serious about it, do all kinds of sadhana practices and so on. Some people are passively interested in getting into a higher state. There's another way to look at it, which you'll find is very, very practical and very, very useful. Is it about coming in tune with God, or is it about coming out of tune with yourself? If you need to reach up, and it's a struggle, so something's holding you down. So is that about reaching up harder, or is it about letting go of what's holding you down? There's the epitome of understanding yin and yang. They're not opposites. They're just consciousness is focusing on different things at different times.
