    [upbeat music] That was my responsibility to pay more attention when there's red flags. The whole thing was a red flag. It was all fake, and you knew exactly what you were doing, and we have the text messages and emails, receipts to prove it, and so do the federal prosecutors, and that's why you went to jail.

    Serving time should be retribution. It should be restorative. It should be rehabilitative. And if you come out of it not in that way, it didn't do its job. At least have some humility about it. Reflect on what you did instead of this. This makes me realize you learned nothing, and you took this plea thinking that you were still innocent, which is wild. And she'll probably do it again.
