In this series, reporters Dan Ashby and Lucy Taylor follow a trail left after dozens of dead animals were left in villages in the British countryside. They team up with the wildlife presenter Chris Packham, whose own dead-animal death threats escalated into a car bomb outside his house. The dead animals lead them into uncovering a criminal underworld in the British countryside.

[gentle music] Do you remember the movie Snatch? It's a British gangster film from about 2000, and Brad Pitt plays a bare-knuckle boxer who ends up taking mobsters from London hare coursing. There's a long slow-mo shot of the hare just managing to outrun two barking dogs, and a thousand essays have probably been written about what it represents, the will to survive a brutal world, the need for smarts over force.

[gentle music] But Brad Pitt's character is from the traveling community. He lives in an old caravan, loves his mom, and it's a big joke that no one can understand what he's saying. It's probably a bit offensive, to be honest. But even today, this is the
