[upbeat music] Hello, and welcome to afl.com.au where Essendon coach Brad Scott has been sacked on Tuesday morning. The Bombers now searching for their sixth coach in the last fourteen years. I'm Riley Beveridge. I'm joined by Damian Barrett. Damo, the Bombers are about to speak. President Andrew Welsh and CEO Tim Roberts are about to front the media at the Hangar out at Tullamarine, but the third coach-- the third club now searching for a new coach, given that Carlton moved on from Michael Voss earlier this year. We know Tasmania's the new expansion side will also, uh, be joining the race for a new coach.

The thirteen losses to conclude 2025, the, uh, ten of eleven losses to start 2026, and the uneasy murmurings of this footy club, which regularly second-guesses itself when it gets to moments of this type, and that is ones that they can't control. And they've regularly been able to control this footy club for a long period of time now with various changes at, at board level. Really keen to see what Andrew Welsh says as chair of the club, and also equally concerned and, and wanting to know what Tim Roberts as CEO says in the next few moments when they join us.

So his contract ran through until 2027. That ha-happened before a ball had been kicked in 2025. He's got eighteen months of that deal still
