Colombia's president says Daniel Kinahan is part of group controlling world's cocaine trade

[gentle music] Colombia's president, Gustavo Petro, has claimed that Daniel Kinahan sits on a board of directors of international narco traffickers who control the world's cocaine trade. Today, I'm talking with Niall Donald about the remarks, which suggest that Dubai is the headquarters of what he calls the Junta Directiva del Narcotráfico. The interestingly titled Junta Directiva del Narcotráfico is basically what the Colombian president is describing as a board of directors who are the bosses of Colombia's cartels, the Clan del Golfo, the FARC dissidents, and others who are producing and moving the cocaine at least on its, the first step of its journey- Yeah ... um, out of Colombia, which is the biggest producer of cocaine in the world.

Yeah, so Gustavo Petro, who's the, the president of Colombia, um, he's been talking about this, this, uh, board of directors really, and he, for the last couple of years, and he says it's based primarily in Dubai. And they, according to him, they make the decisions for really the, the world's cocaine supply, mostly in Colombia, but he also mentions Honduras, Ecuador, and he says they have this overseeing role. And I suppose the reason we're talking about it at all is because he has
