We're joined as always by England's top Japan enthusiast who's coming to Japan in a week, Mr. Pete Donaldson. Pete, how the devil are you doing? What's going on?

I'm very good, Chris. Um, I'm just sort of batting away, um, WhatsApps from my mother, who has woken up on a morning, uh, very early in the morning, you know, pre-7:00, um, and just started t- to lambast me and berate me for, uh, for, um, uh, not graduating.

[laughs] What? Not gradu- That was like 40 years ago, wasn't it?
Pete Donaldson· Host0:51
Exactly. Well, it wasn't that much, but it was a, it was a- 40 years ago ... it was a distance away. It was a distant... A, a good 20. Um, and my mom is complaining that she doesn't have a picture of me in a, in a, in a graduation smock and hat. Um, and, uh, she's absolutely gutted that time, uh, that, that I d- she, she basically didn't have a photograph of me- Aw ... graduating.

Which is funny, isn't it?

Which is a funny thing for her to get upset about. And the only reason why I didn't graduate, as discussed on this show before, was because I had outstanding library fines, and I just never thought it was that important. [laughs] I was happy to get out of De Montfort University Leicester after four long years. One year spent in a zoo. I was happy to get away, but
