She said that a medicine she takes to help her MS from relapsing was possibly being taken off the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme. We're gonna hear a little later her story and how this decision might take her health backwards. But first, let's find out what was happening while you were sleeping. It's Wednesday, July 8th. [upbeat music] The prime minister has called the Chinese missile test in the Pacific incendiary and destabilizing. China fired their nuclear-capable long-range missile from a submarine in the Pacific Ocean on Monday. The Australian government was given just a few hours notice of the test. It's believed to have landed somewhere between Nauru and Tuvalu. The test coincided with Australia signing a new defense alliance with Fiji, aimed to counter Chinese influence in the region. The British military is claiming that a tanker has caught on fire after being struck by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian state media is reporting that the tanker ignored warnings before the attack, but did not directly take credit for it. Tehran has repeatedly made it clear that only their approved route through the strait is safe. They've been accused of firing on those who choose to try sailing closer to the shore of Oman. The tanker is carrying liquified natural gas.
