This episode of History of Westeros podcast is dedicated to the memory of Steve Mangiamelli, the frigging Italian, who passed on October 13th, 2015. Without Steve, there would be no History of Westeros podcast. Though I became a part of it early on, it was started entirely by him. We are eternally grateful for this and for his overwhelmingly positive attitude in the face of serious health issues. He was a lover of all things geek, a veteran of the US military, and enthusiastic even when discussing his least favorite things. His pet dog has been adopted by a close friend of his and will be taken care of. We'll miss you, Steve. This one's for you. That's the part I scripted, but I actually want to say a little more about Steve. He was... I, I pointed out that he was overwhelmingly positive even in the face of serious health issues, and that is what actually caused his retirement from the show in the first place. And it was hard for him to give up, but I respected his decision at the time. He needed to take care of himself, and he was always very positive and supportive of the show even after he left it. And I'm continuously, um, amazed by how he was able to stay so positive despite having really serious health issues for a long time. So again, this one's for Steve and for those who have sent thanks and well wishes who heard about this on, on social media ahead of time. Thank you all very much for that. We appreciate it.
