Yeah, so, uh, I got to know Eric first when, um, he was stationed out here in, uh, Sydney, and when I was in the BIU and we started coming out to Australia, uh, we were doing things, uh, with the DEA folks in Australia. And so Eric would sort of take point on some of those investigations. He was the, um, the supervisor of the Sydney office.

Paul Larsen is a former special agent with the DEA's Bilateral Investigations Unit, or BIU. Paul's an important person in this story 'cause he's worked with all the key American and Australian players in the cocaine sting operation off the West Australian coast. The Eric he's talking about is Eric Baldus, the DEA agent who asked the West Australian detectives to help run a sting using 2.4 tons of golf cartel cocaine, the same Eric Baldus kicked out of Australia in early 2023 because of that sting.
