Astro Talk - 29 June to 5 July 2026
6/27/202620 min
This week, the cosmos slows us down before it speeds us up. With Mercury Retrograde beginning alongside a powerful Capricorn Full Moon, it's time to reflect on what's working, what isn't and what you're ready to leave behind. As Jupiter enters Leo for the first time in twelve years, a new chapter of creativity, joy and self-expression begins, while Mars and Uranus spark fresh ideas and bold action. Join Kate as she unpacks one of the biggest astrological weeks of the year with humour, practical wisdom and the reminder that sometimes looking back is the fastest way to move forward.

[upbeat music] Hello, hello, and welcome back to Astro Talk. I'm Kate Forster, your host, author, astrologer, professional explainer of why things have gone to the shit, and general roustabout. Now, listen, grab yourself a coffee, a tea, a wine. I don't mind. Uh, no judgment here. Because the universe has cooked up an absolute tiramisu of chaos for the end of June and the start of July, and I want you to be prepared. Here's what we're working with. We have Mercury retrograde kicking off on the exact same day as the Capricorn full moon, because subtlety is dead and the planets know it. It is literally hammering us. And then practically, just before you've caught your breath, Jupiter slap drops into Leo for the first time in 12 years. And then just to make sure that nobody's gonna get bored, we have Mars in Gemini conjunct Uranus in Gemini on the Fourth of July, which frankly, well, I don't like it. Uh, I do wanna say that everyone was promised the year of the horse, and quite frankly, we've had a year of the wonky donkey, and I'm sticking by that. So before the universe is gonna let you start this glittering new 12-year chapter, it wants you to sit down and reread the last one out loud to the class with the footnotes.
