Crime Alert hourly update. Breaking crime news now. I'm Sydney Silvani. We begin in Philadelphia, where a hunt is underway for two teenagers accused of cutting short the promising life of a young college student. The Philadelphia Police Department has officially issued arrest warrants for two 16-year-old boys in connection with the brutal June 6th murder of 22-year-old Billy Schmidt. Authorities are currently withholding the suspects' names because they are minors who have not yet been taken into custody. Schmidt, a Penn State World Campus student, was walking home from an NBA Finals watch party at around 1:30 AM when he was targeted in an armed robbery attempt. Responding officers found him with a critical gunshot wound to his chest. He was tragically pronounced dead at a local hospital at 1:47 AM.
