Hello, it is The Anfield Wrap in the immediate aftermath of Arne Slot, uh, leaving Liverpool. Uh, confirmed at twelve-thirty with a statement, a very, very kind, well-written, honest, and a statement I agree with on the Liverpool Football Club website. Uh, really, really pleased to see that. With me, I've got Phil Blundell, I've got John Gibbons. Ashil Rook's behind the camera. We've leapt into action. We're in The Anfield Wrap studio right now. John, how are you feeling, um, about all of this? It's, uh, I think you... Uh, well, I know because we did a show yesterday, uh, that we've got to decide what to do with as a season review, uh, that was gonna go out on Monday, it might come out sooner, uh, where we were talking about, uh, the season, and you were of the view that you wanted the manager to move on. Uh, how are you feeling about it now that it's happened?

  3. John Gibbons· Host0:41

Surprised. I'm surprised it's happened because I, I did think that they'd stick with him. Um, considering I wanted a change, I'm not, um, as happy as I thought I would be. Uh, and I'm sort of trying to figure out why that is. Maybe it's because, you know, it's a bit, it's a bit sad when anyone gets sacked really, and I've had that feeling for, for most managers, um, [chuckles] apart from maybe, uh, Roy Hodgson. But for, for every other one, you know, I remember feeling the same about Brendan. I remember, obviously, you know, you were, it was, it- Kenny was a whole host of emotions the second [chuckles] time around with, around Debbie Finch. So, you know, there's always a little bit of sadness there. And then also I just... And I've always been of the opinion that there's so much to do, that this is just one job this summer. And I think, you know, next season I think is gonna be a challenge
