So, Priya, I've never met anybody who is so careful about what they provide to their children- [laughs] ... on the kitchen table. It's extraordinary.

  3. Priya Alexander· Host0:15

Well, I actually get a lot of joy out of it, I have to say. I love making food fun. I take great joy. I know I'm alone in this, and a lot of people are probably sighing, but I quite like packing a lunchbox.

  4. Norman Swan· Host0:26

Well, you're not alone in this. Your books have sold well on it. [laughs] Clearly it meets the mark. What do you do about salt?

  5. Priya Alexander· Host0:32

I'm very careful about salt intake because I know about the potential implications for kidney, for heart health. And Norman, when I share some social media videos cooking, doing my thing, a lot of people come for me when I say, "I'm not adding salt to this 'cause there's enough in the canned tomatoes or the passata." People think I'm too rigid.

  6. Norman Swan· Host0:49

    Do your children agree?

  7. Priya Alexander· Host0:50

My son loves salt. [laughs] Uh, but he knows why Mummy's careful.

  8. Norman Swan· Host0:54

That's very good. That's coming up on this week's Health Report, children and salt.

[on hold music] Also on the show, risk-based screening for breast cancer. Should women be screened differently according to their baseline risk?

  12. Norman Swan· Host1:12

It could mean that some women get more screening and a lot of women get less.

  13. Priya Alexander· Host1:16
