ANCIENT HISTORY EXPERT: ‘What If Ancient Egypt Was More Advanced Than Us?’

6/1/20261 hr 3 min

This week on The Karl Stefanovic Show.

A mind-bending conversation with Ben van Kerkwyk exploring some of the biggest mysteries in human history.

From the alleged labyrinth buried beneath Egypt, to the possibility humanity has completely misunderstood ancient civilisations, Ben breaks down the theories capturing millions online — and why some researchers believe advanced engineering and knowledge may have existed thousands of years earlier than we think.

Karl asks the obvious question:

If discoveries beneath Egypt could rewrite history… why aren’t people like Joe Rogan or Elon Musk funding the excavation themselves?

The conversation dives into black holes, consciousness, lost technology, ancient construction techniques, and whether modern society is more fragile than we realise.

It’s one of the wildest conversations we’ve had yet. Watch now.

I mean, eventually they... I don't know. He, he... The video takes his interest. I was first on there a couple years ago, but then he kind of followed our... He just, he had my details and got ahold of me, and, uh, he, when I did the video about the labyrinth, that just fascinated him.

You know, I'm fascinated, I'm fascinated by what he does and how he does an interview. It's like he gets great responses from people, right? And I just think sometimes it's because people are scared that he's gonna beat the shit out of them.

[laughs] [laughs] He's very unassuming. He's very, uh... I mean, for, for, I guess is famous and, I mean, he's very down to earth. Like, he's, he just seems really grounded, so.

  12. Ben van Kerkwyk· Guest1:11

I mean, he has a studio manager, and then Jamie's just a giant studio out in a industrial park kinda thing. A big, giant building. The studio's kind of the taunt, the smallest room in it. Um, but yeah, he just sets it up. I, I honestly think he's just, I think he's just trying to have interesting conversations. I think he, he just wants to- Definitely ... he likes to talk about this stuff,
