Getting back in the show pen as adults has been WAY more emotional than I expected 🐴💕
In this episode of Katching Up With Katie, my best friend Becca joins me to talk all about our first horse show back after years away from competing. From AQHA confusion and horse show memories to childhood horse chaos, and balancing horses with real adult life… we covered a little bit of everything.
We dove into what it’s like returning to the show world with zero pressure, how different showing feels as adults, and some of the funniest horse show stories from when we were kids. I don't think it's quite a migraine, because I can actually function still, but I'm, I'm not feeling great. But we brought on someone who doesn't look haggard today for once, which is- For once ... my best friend Becca.

Um, you know, I've already been sharing about how I'm getting back into the show pen this year. We have a new horse, new journeys, et cetera. Well, Rebecca's doing the same.

So when... I guess, when was the last year that you went to a horse show and were, were you jumping, I guess, up until- Yeah ... the end?

Up until the end. So the summer after my senior year was my last show season, and I showed, sold my horse in August, and- Okay ... that ended it. Did that make you sad? Uh, n- I mean, yeah, it was time, though. He... Honestly, I'm thankful for him. He paid for, like, my first year of college. Nice. So I, I give him that.
