    [rock music] Something a little bit different for the next bit of the podcast. We're at the White Bear Pub in Kennington, and I've got two pod newbies with me. Uh, the actor, Rory Kinnear, and the, uh, edit- managing editor of Wisden Cricket Monthly, but in plainer English, Phil's boss. We could do a whole series of podcasts- Absolutely ... on that. [laughs] Um, and Rory's on the podcast basically because you love your cricket.

    [laughs] Uh, first question, um, how did your relationship with the game start? Take us all the way back.

  4. Rory Kinnear· Guest0:45

    Uh, first would be just playing at school. Um, it was a very small little school, and so managed to m- muscle my way into almost all the teams. But when I tell you there was only 16 people in the class, and that extended to rugby as well- [laughs] ... um, it wasn't too difficult a bar to leap over. But I, I really enjoyed playing. I used to bat and bowl, but particularly loved fielding close. Um, I was, I had sh- quite sharp reactions at the time, and that is one thing that you find playing in your later years, just how disappointing [laughs] the physical form can, can prove. I was playing on Sunday, and there were about three or four times where I thought if I was 10 years younger, and then maybe something you think, no, if I was 15 years younger on that one, I might've been, been closer. Um, but
