[upbeat music] Hello, and thanks for choosing to listen to this. I'm Rachel Stewart. Now, have you ever wondered what it's like to become stranded and desperate for help when you're out on a hike? Especially if you're really experienced and, and well-prepared, and probably thinking this is something that would never happen to you. Well, that's exactly the situation Ioana Ticu found herself in last November during a walk up Ben More. And interestingly, even before she set off, she had a sense that something wasn't quite right.

Well, I think my body knew ahead of time what would happen. That, that's, that's quite weird. So before I start, I'm, I'm quite an experienced hiker. I grew up in the mountains, grew up with heavy winters and, uh, low temperatures. So I- And that's in Romania? That's in Romania, yes. So, and I hiked in Scotland before. I moved to Scotland a few years ago, started with summer hikes, and then I started also winter hikes in snow as well. So on Monday evening, I deci- I, I checked the forecast and I decided to go the following day on a hike. I decided to do Ben More. So I checked the weather and I said, "Okay, it looks good." I prepped everything, and I prepped the stuff for my sandwiches because I said, "I'm not gonna
