[upbeat music] G'day, and welcome to Kenny Blitz, your daily hit of NRL news. And I've got Craws back today. Kenty's still sick, but, uh, the great Paul Crawley stepped in. Craws, welcome again.
Paul Crawley· Host0:09
How are you, mate?
Warren Smith· Host0:10
Yeah, good to have you.
Paul Crawley· Host0:10
Oh, thank you.
Warren Smith· Host0:11
Yeah, it's very good to have you. Uh, great knowledge of the game, and it's been very enjoyable sitting next to you. I just wanna start off, uh, with a bit of news out of the NRL with Jai Arrow, uh, having a, his, uh, condition recognized with a Jai July Day.
Paul Crawley· Host0:25
Yeah.
Warren Smith· Host0:25
Uh, starts on the 12th of July, uh, which also happens to be his 31st birthday.
Paul Crawley· Host0:29
Yeah. It's wonderful to see everyone in the NRL getting behind this guy. He's a legend of a fella.
Warren Smith· Host0:34
Mm.
Paul Crawley· Host0:34
And, um, he's gone through a tough battle at the moment, so it kicks off with the Souths-Knights game.
Warren Smith· Host0:38
Do you know him much?
Paul Crawley· Host0:39
Uh, well, he often used to come into NRL 360.
Warren Smith· Host0:42
Yep.
Paul Crawley· Host0:42
And, um, just a f- fantastic bloke. Like, what you see is what you get on and off the field.
Warren Smith· Host0:47
Mm. Mm.
Paul Crawley· Host0:47
Tough-as-nails, really down-to-earth, salt-of-the-earth sort of guy.
Warren Smith· Host0:50
Mm.
Paul Crawley· Host0:51
Um, and he's just ... Yeah, it's, it's really unfortunate, really sad. He's so brave. Um, you saw was last year with Jai in a really, really tough season for South Sydney, he was their player of the year.
Warren Smith· Host1:03
Mm.
Paul Crawley· Host1:03
You know?
Warren Smith· Host1:04
And probably- That says everything about Jai ... probably playing with the condition then too.
Paul Crawley· Host1:07
Mm. Mm.
Warren Smith· Host1:07
Or the start of the condition, yeah. And, and a great initiative by the NRL. Uh, let's talk about, uh, the Bulldogs. We're soon to be talking about the Bulldogs all year. But something happened, um, on the weekend involving Locky Galvin, uh, and Stephen Crichton. And it was a bit said at, at the time, but some footage has come out since then, uh, which has shed a bit of light on it. It's quite interesting.
Paul Crawley· Host1:25
Yeah, yeah. Well, at the time, we all thought when Crichton turned down the
