[upbeat music] Today on the show, we are talking genetic testing with insurance. That sounds weird. We're gonna talk about some private health insurance. We've sold an investment property, now what? Maybe some parental leave, and we'll get into a bit of trouble along the way. I am, of course, joined by Phil Thompson, founder director at Sky Wealth. Thank you, Phil, for coming into the studio.

  2. Phil Thompson· Guest0:29

    Thanks for having me, Glenn.

  3. Glen James· Host0:30

Um, look, shall we just get into it? Hekia, in the Facebook group, asked, "Insurers banned from using genetic testing to deny cover," unquote. "Bill has been passed, apparently, so waiting on the law to come into place. Glenn, can you discuss this on the podcast? No, I can't." Uh, she, she or he, I dunno, um, "just saw the news on the ABC." We have talked about this over the years.

  4. Phil Thompson· Guest1:01

    We have.

  5. Glen James· Host1:01

And- Do you know the last time we talked about this?

  6. Phil Thompson· Guest1:02

Do you know where we were?

  7. Glen James· Host1:03

Okay, I've got a photographic memory.

  8. Phil Thompson· Guest1:06

    Yeah.

  9. Glen James· Host1:06

I think I do. Bali, your conference.

  10. Phil Thompson· Guest1:09

    Correct.

  11. Glen James· Host1:10

    In that conference room.

  12. Phil Thompson· Guest1:11

Correct. We were talking about- Yep ... how insurers, um, view genetic testing.

  13. Glen James· Host1:14

Yep. It's weird I've got a photographic memory, though, isn't it?

  14. Phil Thompson· Guest1:16

It, it... A little bit weird.

  15. Glen James· Host1:17

    Yeah.

  16. Phil Thompson· Guest1:18

    Yeah.

  17. Glen James· Host1:18

Um, I know exactly where we were.

  18. Phil Thompson· Guest1:20

[laughs] I know exactly where we were as well. I've got, I'm good with, um, I, I wouldn't say photographic- Mm ... but I'm good with memory when I can visualize it.

  19. Glen James· Host1:26

Yeah. Um, from me on the street,
