  1. Tim Ferriss· Host0:00

optimal, minimal. At this altitude, I can run flat-out for a half mile before my hands start to shake. Can I ask you a personal question? Now would seem an appropriate time. What if I did the opposite? I'm a cybernetic organism, living tissue over metal endoskeleton. The Tim Ferriss Show. [upbeat music] Tish, it is lovely to finally connect. I've really been looking forward to this, and thanks to my old friend, and your new friend, Elon Lee, here we are. We made it happen.

  2. Tish Rabe· Guest0:35

    We made it happen.

  3. Tim Ferriss· Host0:35

So thank you for making the time.

  4. Tish Rabe· Guest0:36

[chuckles] Really excited to be meeting you.

  5. Tim Ferriss· Host0:39

And I don't even know where to start. We could start with the 200 children's books, more than 11 million copies sold. We could start [chuckles] with- [laughs] ... 300 children's songs. [laughs] But maybe we can, I suppose, start the journey with what you studied in college.

  6. Tish Rabe· Guest0:58

    Mm-hmm.

  7. Tim Ferriss· Host0:58

Were you always intending to end up where you are now, or where did the story start, in a sense?

  8. Tish Rabe· Guest1:04

[chuckles] Where did the story start? As a matter of fact, I did not start out to be a children's book author. I started out to be an opera singer. I went to college to be an opera singer. So that was my plan.

  9. Tim Ferriss· Host1:21

    Uh-huh.

  10. Tish Rabe· Guest1:21

I had a great plan. In high school, I tell the kids I talk to a lot that I had two things I loved: I loved to sing, and I loved to write.
