You're listening to the Volleyball by Design podcast. Today, we got a great episode for you. You- we are gonna get a chance to listen to a presentation that Erik Shoji gave on my annual, uh, virtual coaches clinic that I run every year, except he gave it about a couple years ago. And the presentation was on, you know, from a player's perspective, well, hi- it- and from him, from his perspective, what are the ingredients or what are some of the things that he noticed that the best programs that he was the part of had? And it's always a question that we talk to coaches about on the podcast, but, uh, you know, every so often it's great to hear a player's perspective, especially a guy like Erik Shoji, one, one of the best liberos in the world, and he's been, he's been one of the best liberos in the world for, I mean, for quite a long time, and he's been part of amazing programs. So getting a chance to listen to his perspective on what was it about those programs that were special. Like, why did he really like those programs? And he gives eight specific things that I think is worth, um, making a note of. And then you get a chance to hear some Q&A from the attendees that were on this workshop, and I myself asked him questions about culture and programming, things like that. So it's a really good conversation, um, especially in the time we're in right now where many of us are in the off-season, some of us are closing out our seasons. This is the time where we gotta start thinking about building our programs and what are some of the things we're gonna wanna implement in the ne- in the upcoming season. So this is an episode you definitely don't wanna miss. Stay tuned.
