I led more than 70 undercover child rescue missions in 15 countries. The most valuable skills that we learned were not our hard skills, wasn't our, our, our combat skills, wasn't Krav Maga, hand to hand. It wasn't any of those things. It was situational awareness. And 95% of the situations where somebody has to move to hard skills to be able to fight their way out of something, 95% of those could have been avoided if you were just paying attention, just being present.
