Hundreds of cargo ships begin moving out of the Strait of Hormuz today under U.S. Navy escort. President Trump is calling it Project Freedom, a mission to guide, quote, "neutral and innocent stranded vessels from dozens of countries through the waterway," which remains under threat by Iran. The president warned that any interference will be, in his words, "dealt with forcefully." Iran effectively shut down the strait when the war began in February. The U.S. has answered with a naval blockade of Iranian ports. National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett.
