In this episode, Kara oozes all of her love for this race, Des gets introduced to Minnesota accents and Minnesota nice, and Dakotah shares the story about how this race inspired her Olympic dreams. Plus, the audience asks great questions. If you want to race Grandma's someday, there is a lot of great course beta too. Even if not, this episode will definitely make you smile. 1. Kara Goucher· Host0:00

[upbeat music] Hey, what's up everybody? Welcome to a brand new episode- [cheering] ... of Nobody Asked Us, presented by Brooks Running and Duluth.

  2. Des Linden· Host0:20

[cheering] [laughs] [clapping] Bravo. That was a good one. You brought the energy there.

  3. Kara Goucher· Host0:26

    Yeah, thanks.

  4. Des Linden· Host0:26

    Yeah.

  5. Kara Goucher· Host0:26

I tried so hard. [laughs] [laughs] How is everybody tonight? [cheering] Des, you flew in last night. You texted me, "What is with this weather?" [laughs] [laughs] It warmed up a little bit today. How's your day in Duluth been?

  6. Des Linden· Host0:45

Yeah, it was a touch and go yesterday. It was pretty bumpy out of Traverse, and then I sat in Minneapolis for quite a while, but I wasn't worried because I over-packed underwear. [laughs] As we talked about on the last, the last episode. I was like, "I'll be okay whatever happens." [laughs] If I have to drive, if I go back home, I'll be okay, have enough underwear. So, that was good. Um, but I did get on the flight last night, got in, and what a beautiful place. Even with the lake being moody as it was, um, gorgeous. And then this morning, got up and, and ran along the waterfront, which was awesome. We ch- we chatted a little bit about places to go and where to get the best mileage on the waterfront, so I'm gonna make some adjustments tomorrow, I think. But all in all, so far so good.

  7. Kara Goucher· Host1:26

How far did you run today?

  8. Des Linden· Host1:27

    I ran six miles.

  9. Kara Goucher· Host1:29

    Oh, that's good.
