270: Josh Giddey (Part B)
6/10/202625 min
He is one of Australia's biggest sporting stars. From suburban Melbourne courts to the bright lights of the NBA.
From idolising Buddy Franklin, following Hawthorn religiously, and even taking a year away from basketball to focus on football, to the decision that ultimately changed his life forever.
The Chicago Bulls star then takes us inside one of the defining moments of his career, his unforgettable game-winning buzzer beater over LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. In a rare breakdown, Josh talks through the play, what he was thinking in the moment, why the shot was perhaps easier than people realise, and the surreal experience of seeing LeBron standing between him and a career highlight.
He opens up about getting drafted into the NBA, adapting to life in America, representing Australia on the world stage, and the lessons learned from making it to the very top of professional basketball.
This is a brilliant look inside the life of an Aussie thriving on the biggest basketball stage in the world.
