Hello, George. I promise I'm not staying. I just wanted to hand over these brownies. Homemade. Amber's favorite.
George Grundy0:32
Oh, that's really kind of you. Thanks. I'm sure she'll be thrilled.
Anne-Marie0:36
Is she in by any chance?
George Grundy0:37
No, sorry. She's still at work.
Anne-Marie0:40
I thought you said she'd be off today.
George Grundy0:41
She was supposed to be, but she swapped a shift with a mate.
Anne-Marie0:44
Oh, okay.
George Grundy0:46
You can come in if you want to wait for her. She should be back in about an hour.
Anne-Marie0:51
I don't know. That might seem a bit too much. What do you think?
George Grundy0:55
Up to you.
Anne-Marie0:57
[sighs] I know I should have messaged to check if it was a good time. But if I'm honest with you, George, I worry she would make an excuse not to see me if she had any warning of me turning up.
George Grundy1:08
I, I don't know about that. I thought she messaged you yesterday.
Anne-Marie1:12
Oh, I couldn't accuse her of ignoring us. She almost always replies to our messages, but usually only with a word or two, or a thumbs up. And of course, she sent her dad a Father's Day card. In fact, it arrived early. But there was no chance she was going to come and actually see us on Sunday.
George Grundy1:27
Yeah, well, she's been- Busy.
Anne-Marie1:28
I know.
