    [jazzy music] Hello, and welcome back to Home and Hosting with me, Louis Burke. I hope you're well. Now, today we're talking about 10 autumn and winter trends, and more specifically, the homeware trends that I'm actually backing this season. Because every year, as soon as the weather cools down, interior brands start releasing their home and winter collections. And honestly, in Australia, this is one of the main times of the year where we actually see things shift in our homes. We are so used to light, bright, breezy interiors, soft cottons, white linens, pale oak, sheer curtains, open windows, fruit bowls and coastal colors. And I understand why, because for a lot of the year that really does make sense here. But autumn and winter gives us permission to do something a little richer, a little deeper, a bit more layered. It's that time of year where we can bring about texture, color, weight and atmosphere without it feeling too heavy. And honestly, it is one of the few times where Australians seem to feel comfortable moving away from everything being white, beige, linen and oak. The only time we really start to venture into color and texture is in winter, kids' bedrooms or a cheeky powder room if you're lucky. But I think autumn and winter is a real opportunity to show a bit more personality within our homes.
