A king without His armor.
At the end of our lives, there are no defenses. At the end of Christ's life, He clings to no defenses. He has poured it all out, and all is taken from Him. All that is left is the Man Himself. At the end of our lives, we will only be left with our heart...everything else is taken.

So at the beginning of Lent, I had the, um, honor of being invited by a friend of mine, uh, to be with her dad as he was dying, and, uh, and to anoint him and pray for him. And that was the, that was the beginning of Lent. Be with a man named Ray as he was dying. Uh, go back- if we think back to Lent, uh, the first Sunday of Lent, what do, what do we see? It- ma- the first Sunday of Lent almost always, I think always, is, is Jesus going into the wilderness and, and, and doing battle with the evil one, right? So it's Jesus, he gets anointed with-- The Father declares over Jesus, "This is my beloved Son." Now he's anointed by the power of the Holy Spirit. He's the king, right? What does the king do? And the king, that first, that first Sunday of Lent, the king does what? He's anointed, and he goes to fight for his people, and he, he shows himself as, as the king, right? He's the brave king who goes into the wilderness. He is the kind king who heals his people. He is the wise king who
